The server Build at Night is played on the hard difficulty since our first release almost 10 years ago, this is how it has always been and always will be. We provide many plugins that enhance the gaming experience. We value the needs and requests of our players. Since we are a Semi-Vanilla server, our experience here is slightly altered.
Many of our plugins are available when you first begin playing on this server, but there are a few that are unlocked with rank ups. Our server has three tiers of ranks once you receive builder. These three tiers have different plugin rewards as well. We will begin with the plugins that are available to all players.

Since our world is so massive and difficult, we have provided a plugin called “AngelChest”. When you die, an AngelChest is created. The chest will be locked for 10 minutes, and then just drops its contents. The chest will hold your complete inventory including armor slots. When you right click the AngelChest, your inventory will be restored. If not all items can be stored (because you picked something up after respawning), the remaining items will be left in the chest and you can decide which items you want to take/leave behind. You can also directly open the chest via shift-right click if you wish to take only some items. Once the chest is emptied or the duration is reached, it will despawn and drop the remaining items.
mcMMO allows for an RPG-like experience to exist in the world of Minecraft complete with skill leveling, special abilities, rare loot and brand-new mechanics! McMMO’s main function is to incorporate an RPG-like skill system that players will have access to right from the beginning. Depending on how much a certain tool is used or a certain action is performed, players will gain experience that will eventually add bonuses such as double drops, rare drops, or ability enhancement.
PlayerWarps are the modern homes which can be accessed over your entire BungeeCord. Invite your friends by adding them as trusted members to grant private access and free teleportation. This plugin is GUI based, open the menu with /playerwarps and go from there!

Quests is the easy-to-use, open-source server plugin for immersing visitors in challenges made by the staff at Build at Night! Players can take on multiple quests simultaneously, completing them for stellar rewards and unlockables. From placing blocks on mountain tops to slaying a hundred Skeletons on Halloween.

Stop responding to grief and prevent it instead. Grief Prevention will solve your grief problems without a roster of trained administrators, without 10 different anti-grief plugins, and without disabling any standard game features. Because Grief Prevention teaches players for you, you won’t have to publish a training manual or tutorial for players, or add explanatory signs to your world. To claim land, a player needs a golden shovel (to claim) and a stick (to see the claim). Adjust the claim with the “claim corners” of glowstone. TicketManager is a fully-featured ticket creation and management plugin that allows for players to report issues. With an intuitive interface, high customizability, and powerful search tools, both players and staff alike can benefit from this plugin!
Tickets are a system in our server that is used for requesting a rank-up for a build, reporting problems, or requesting help! use the command /ticket create (and type your message after). This will create a ticket at your location with your message. You will know you have done this correctly if you see this message after:
ChestShop is a simple, yet very powerful system for making physical shops using signs and chests that was originally created by Acrobot and is now being continued.
How to create a Player Shop
- Place a chest on the ground
- Place a sign 1 block away from the chest (for example, above it)
- On the sign, write:
- The first line will be automatically filled with your name by the plugin
- Second line is the amount of items to buy or sell
- Third line is a combination of buy and sell prices. You need to have a price indicator (like ‘B’ – price that will apply to items BOUGHT by PLAYERS – or ‘S’ – the SELL price) near the price – the prices are separated by a colon :
Some of the possible price combinations: “B 5:5 S”, “B 5”, “S free” - The forth line will hold the id/name of the item. Write ? on the sign and the item will be autofilled with the one from the chest or you can click on the sign with the item afterwards.
Optionally you can put the actual name of the item on the forth line. You can find out the name of the item that you’re holding by running /iteminfo

Our server uses discord integration so that players may speak to each other through discord, or the server. This is useful for the situation of someone not being at their computer and being able to talk in-game. The discord serves as logs as well, which helps us catch inappropriate language. Our Discord link is in the MOTD.
We protect our server with CoreProject. If you somehow are griefed, despite GriefPrevention, make a ticket so we can find the culprit. CoreProtect is a fast, efficient, data logging and anti-griefing tool. We can rollback and restore any amount of damage.
Tamable foxes is a plugin added to the server where a player can tame a fox using raw chicken. This has a 33% chance of working but can be continuously tried. Once tamed, you will see a box pop up, name the fox on the paper. You can breed foxes with berries. Foxes will leap on targets and follow their owner. You can shift + right-click to let the fox hold items.
Auctions
Auctions is a plugin added to allow players to sell their items through GUI. type /auc to see what is for sale. To buy, simply click the item and it will move to your inventory. The money will automatically be taken from your /bal. Type /auc sell (price) to add to the auction, this will sell whatever is in your hand! Each item stays on the auction for 7 days!
EvenMoreFish is a feature rich plugin that aims to provide a unique experience to fishing, adding competitions, a fish shop and many, many more custom fish.
These include the following effects from fishing or item details:
- Its item, split into 3 possible choices (default cod, an in-game item or a custom head)
- Item lore
- Fish length
- Biome-specific fish
- Send the player a message
- Give the player a potion effect
There are also competitions for rarity and size! These competitions start at 6am, 12pm and 7pm. These will be announced when they start, and they last 5 hours each! Type /emf top to see the leaderboard for the contest!
This plugin will replant trees when they are cut down (or burnt down), and will keep it the same tree type. It also will take down an entire tree. Simply chop the tree with an axe, and allow the plugin to do the rest. It damages the axe just like if you were regularly chopping, and replants the tree!
/treeassist toggle to turn it on/off, it is default activated.
Have players show off and compete for more time played with playtime’s leaderboards! Not only can you check online/offline players playtime you can also check the uptime of the server! /playtime to check your stats! Check the top 10 players playtime! /toppt
MobHunting is a plugin that rewards players with prizes for killing mobs. Pick up “bags of gold” and trade them in at /warp servershop! Check out the Killing Leaderboard at /spawn, simply turn around towards the Treydun statue!
We know the end is scary, fall off the ledge and be magically teleported back! No commands needed.
BloodMoons are back! Every few days, a blood moon night will occur. Run and hide, but you cannot sleep! Mob bosses will spawn with awesome rewards
ChestSort can automatically sort every chest, barrel, etc. after you have used it. Every player can enable or disable this feature if desired with the simple command /sort Tier 2 players can also sort their own inventory using the command /invsort, or automatically using /invsort on|off
